The book presents the life story of Judit Fenyvesi, a social sister who, thanks to the Spirit's guidance and transforming influence, was able to maintain the integrity of her soul in the midst of the horrors of the Holocaust and communism, and who wants to be a witness to God's faithful love through her writing. As a social brother, he survived the tragic fate of his family, but was sentenced by the communists to ten years in prison....

THE FOUNDER

Margit Slachta

Our founder, Margit Slachta (1884-1974) was committed to serving the poor, needy and oppressed. After the First World War, recognising the importance of solving social problems, the Society was founded in 1923 to help the most vulnerable through Christian-based social work by a community of sisters.

Margaret was a pioneer of Christian social thought, who not only fought for the status of women, but also took an active part in the rescue of Jewish persecuted during the Second World War. His life was characterised by faith, love and the defence of human dignity, a role model for us all.
