Spirituality

Our spirituality is characterized by life rooted in the Holy Spirit, Benedictine Tradition, well-developed social awareness, and modern lifestyles.

Our intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is the greatest treasure of our lives. The world cries out for life, purpose and meaning, for human dignity, for faith, and for truth. These desires urge us to rely more fully on the Holy Spirit and to deepen the contemplative dimension of our lives.

Benedictine spirituality calls us to a constant conversion of the heart, to a spirit of prayer and love, and to a positive appreciation of all that enriches life. Our Benedictine treasures include a liturgical and familial spirit, a love of peace, the appreciation of our cultural heritage, the practice of hospitality, the dignity of work, the search for new paths, and living in holy freedom.

Relying on the Spirit of Truth, we seek to hasten the coming of God's kingdom by highlighting the needs of society and striving to find the most suitable responses to those needs. Whatever our service may be, we work everywhere to root Christian values in society and to help our fellow human beings realize God's vision for them.

Our modern approach is expressed in every area of our lives: in our communal prayers, in our worship of God, in our service, and in our way of life. We attentively observe the signs of the times, striving to be adaptable and flexible, yet we are also willing to challenge a given culture when the spirit of the Gospel calls us to do so.
