From early childhood, I was drawn to the supernatural—to the God who kept calling me, even when, as a teenager, I rebelled against laws and rules that I experienced as constraints. After years of searching, I came to realize that I wanted to belong entirely to God while living in the world. For me, the best path to this was to become a Sister of Social Service.
As a literary historian and university professor, I seek and reveal God's hidden yet visible beauty—whether by studying and teaching early modern spiritual literature as a literary phenomenon or through academic research. As a member and organizer of scholarly communities, I also strive to build connections. In my role as vicar, I work to contribute to the life and future of our district.
