Why another book about self-knowledge? And can it even offer anything new about the topic? The subtitle promises just that! This little book offers us something new only if we are willing to set aside all our previous knowledge and approach it with the resolve to take some time to reflect deeply on our personal lives.
What matters most is not the novelty of the thoughts we read but how any thought, once read, touches our soul and creates some change within us. Even if that change is as small as a raindrop falling into a lake, creating ripples that slowly fade, it will have been worth it.
Our soul responds to everything. It is up to us to sense and make use of those responses during the few moments of rippling. Seize the opportunity to marvel at even the simplest things, such as the sound and movement of water.

For whom is this book recommended and for what purpose?
For anyone interested in our spirituality or who wishes to pray with us, — especially our sisters and associates, this book is highly recommended. It can be used individually for quiet retreats, in personal spiritual exercises, or as a continuous read or prayer. It can also be used in groups, for instance, in a series of spiritual days with local communities, in shared retreats, training programs, or for retreats organized for others.
However it is used, in whatever way and for whatever purpose, the Spirit inspires! Only one thing matters—to ignite the fire of the charism within us, to give us wings, and to carry us further on the path of our vocation – Moving with the Spirit.

This commemorative booklet, edited by Csongor Bőjte and Ildikó Homa, presents a brief history of the Society of the Sisters of Social Service in the Romanian District, as well as includes unique liturgical texts (profession of vows, promises of associates) for the community’s celebration.
In 1949, the chapel of our Cluj district center shared the fate of our sisters: its valuable components were dismantled and scattered for safekeeping. Yet wherever these pieces ended up, they became ornaments to their surroundings. Our altar now adorns the St. Michael Church, while our cross graces the parish church in Florești. However, the stained-glass windows depicting the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit vanished without a trace. Perhaps this is not a coincidence. We must become those gifts, so that the Spirit’s blessings may flow into the world through us.
This is our invitation and encouragement to all in this moment of grace during our centenary. Dare to step into the Light, so that the rays of the Spirit may shine through you!

This volume presents the life story of Judit Fenyvesi, a sister of Social Service, who, thanks to the guidance and transformative power of the Spirit, was able to preserve the integrity of her soul amidst the horrors of the Holocaust and communism. Through her writings, she seeks to bear witness to God’s faithful love.
As a sister of Social Service, she survived the tragic fate of her family, but the communists sentenced her to ten years in prison. The misery of Judit’s years in prison was followed by an unexpected opportunity: she could apply for political asylum in America.
Readers will discover in her an inspiring leader who offered hope not only to the community of the Sisters of Social Service but also who provides encouragement to people today through her life story.
